Short Biography:

Natalie has a degree in chemistry from the University of Hull and a PhD in chemistry from St Andrew's University. Before undertaking her higher education, Natalie worked in an industrial setting with a major chemicals company helping in the production of agrochemicals, where she developed significant analytical chemistry expertise.

Natalie's PhD studies were in the synthesis and structural characterisation of fluorinated amino-compounds, which has direct relevance to the activity of agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals/drugs alike; these studies were partially sponsored by GSK.

Natalie has a passion for sharing knowledge and also has PGCE in chemistry from the University of Oxford. She is a fully qualified science teacher and has several years of direct teaching experience, both in the UK and abroad, including in France and Uganda.

Natalie currently works as a laboratory technician helping acquire and interpret NMR spectra to assist with the characterisation of small molecules. She is also involved in many outreach activities from the University of Lincoln and can help bring our cutting edge science directly to local businesses.

Natalie has a diverse skillset, having worked in the chemicals industry, done pharmaceutically-relevant PhD studies, taught in the UK and currently applies NMR to investigate molecular structures
