Announcing the newest recruit to JBL Science

JBL Science are delighted to welcome a new recruit. Dr Sarir Sarmad has joined the team and is tasked with looking after many of the mass spectrometric work packages which we currently apply to a range of small chemicals and larger biomolecules.

Sarir joins us from the University of Nottingham, where she has undertaken PhD and post doctoral studies on metabolites identification and quantification. Sarir has worked to develop and apply analytical methods to detect endocannabinoids, neurotransmitters and other key endogenous biomolecules. She has a wealth of expertise in the use of LC-MS and LC-MS/MS and the interpretation of the resulting data.

As well as he MS expertise, we are fortunate that Sarir also has skills in spectrophotometry, radio immunoassays, elisa, PCR, western blotting and cell culture.

Sarir said "I am delighted to be moving to Lincoln, to the School of Chemistry and to undertake industrial research work through JBL Science. The range of instrumentation here is phenomenal and I am really looking forward to getting my teeth into my first research project."
